Steg-G & The Freestyle Master return with a new 10 track extended player Wayward Son, and its coming hot on the heels of last year’s very successful Long play release Natural Selection.

The producer / EmCee duo have cooked up memorable musical gumbo, which begins with the title track and then keeps getting hotter and takes you to places you never knew you could go. Songs like Rise Up, Weapons of Mass Distraction and Never Coming Back, taken from Natural Selection, show the Powercut Productions boys are about moving the mind, as much as moving the body.

Case in point: the astounding Better Days  - an impromptu jam session busted last New Year’s Eve which sees FM deliver a jaw-dropping off-the-head verse alongside 17-year old Cad - a rapper whose continued rise is evident on this release, with him appearing on the banging Swagger and the killer Luv is the Drug, The gritty You Can Have Anything also sees Freestyle Master delve into his misspent childhood and features none other than his Mum on the chorus vocals.

Steg-G takes the chance to showcase his diversity and stake his claim as the top urban music producer in the Scotland, a reputation that has recently saw him hook up with Hip-Hop artists from the legendary RuffRyders and G-Unit camps.

Also featured is StonezThaRiddlah, from recent Powercut signing Dark Rumours, who undertakes remix duties on title track Wayward Son and proceeds to flip the joint on its head, by giving it their trademark sinister twist that the boys are becoming (in)famous for.

This EP is based on reflections of the past, and the future, and also celebrates one of our inspirations in the game; Rabbie Burns.

Rabbie Burns is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland, and is the best-known of all the poets who have written in the Scots language, but still took it global, hence the record’s symbolic timing for release 25th Jan 2007, Burns night.... from one wayward son to another.
